I dedicate my work and schooling to my grandmother/mother,
Ursula Delaronde.
“To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever.” – Albus Dumbledore

I was raised by my grandparents that adopted me as a baby; they were both social workers and foster parents for over 40 years to over 50 youth in need of a safe place to grow, learn and heal. They were known as the first ‘Aboriginal’ foster home in Winnipeg to open; I have lived with level 5
youth my whole upbringing and as a young teenager, I helped my grandparents raise and take care of foster children. My immediate family upon growing up have followed my grandparent’s footsteps as foster parents and social workers. As soon as I was of legal age to work, I started to do respite and support work with my family then I branched out on my own in the community.
